Postage

postage - Book of Lessons

As an ethical business, we try to keep our postage prices as reasonable as possible, while still packaging books in properly protective materials. We send our parcels via Royal Mail and expect that they should arrive within a reasonable time frame.

Postage within the UK

When we post a book within the UK, we expect that it will arrive within three working days (including Saturdays) of the date we send it. However, if it does not arrive on time, please do be patient, and give it an extra couple of days just to be on the safe side before contacting us.

If you would like to receive a tracking number for your order, please make sure to choose the “tracked” postage method during checkout.

Postage within Europe

When we post a book within Europe, we expect that it will arrive within about a week of the date we send it. However, if it does not arrive on time, please do be patient, and give it an extra week just to be on the safe side before contacting us.

If you would like to receive a tracking number for your order, please make sure to choose the “tracked” postage method during checkout.

Postage Internationally

When we post a book internationally, we expect that it will arrive within about a week and a half of the date we send it. However, unfortunately, it does often seem to take a bit longer, and there is nothing we can do to speed up the process.

If it does not arrive on time, please do be patient, and give it an extra couple of weeks just to be on the safe side before contacting us. It is our experience that sometimes international postage can take up to six weeks, which is exceptionally poor service, but unfortunately there is very little we can do about it once we have taken the package to the Post Office.

If you would like to receive a tracking number for your order, please make sure to choose the “tracked” postage method during checkout. This also seems to help the speed of delivery – tracked packages rarely seem to be delayed to the same extent.

Missed deliveries, and packages returned to us

Please make sure that you give us the correct address (capitalised properly, and any abbreviations expanded) and that there is a good chance that the delivery will be successful. If you are not at home during the day, when the postman is likely to attempt delivery, might it be better to give us your work address so that the delivery is more likely to reach you successfully?

If the postal services return your package to us because they were unable to deliver it to you, then we will send you an email to let you know. We cannot refund the price of postage if a delivery has been attempted but has failed; if you would like us to attempt another delivery, we will ask for the fee to cover the cost of another delivery attempt.
